Dating to the 70's, this Miss Dior by Christian Dior feather jacket is the ultimate in luxe and opulent rich hippie outerwear. Made of hand dyed black & bright orange ostrich feathers which are set onto the base fabric in a twisted fashion to create a bias cut fabric effect, allowing the feathers to sit perfectly in place on the body and not create bulk like some feather pieces can! Fully lined in a matching black silky rayon, this has closures down the front & is in excellent condition with no feather loss. This piece was purchased from the estate of Lady Mary Fairfax, one of Australia's wealthiest & best dressed socialites. Made in France, this bears in addition to the Miss Dior label the label of the high end boutique in Zurich where it was purchased. This piece has undoubtedly led a very exciting life already & is ready for more adventures with a fabulous new owner!
