About new arrivals, sales & special offers
Perhaps best known as the creator of the sheer, Peter Pan-collared sequin pantsuit worn by Barbra Streisand to the Oscars when she won Best Actress for 'Funny Girl' in 1969, Arnold Scaasi dressed First Ladies and Hollywood stars (including Lauren Bacall, Elizabeth Taylor and Catherine Deneuve) in his trademark chic yet risque aesthetic from the New York based couture salon he established in 1964.
He was most lauded for his glamorous evening wear trimmed with feathers, fur, sequins, or fine embroidery. Dating to the 1970s, these couture quality high waisted pants are an excellent example of his work. Lined in grey silk, they feature diagonal lines of bronze, gold, and rose tinted sequins and are immaculately made.
