Dating to the 60's, this Lanvin Haute Couture ensemble is expertly constructed from cream brocade with metallic gold polka dots, and comprises a tailored bolero jacket & button front sleeveless shift dress, both with self covered buttons. The front & back of the dress from the neck to below the bust is covered in thousands of hand embroidered sequins applied by the legendary house of Lesage in circular patterns that echo & amplify the shape of the polka dots. The dress also features a Mandarin collar that snaps at the front & hip pockets. Fully lined and impeccably tailored, this is a stunning & exceedingly rare museum piece, and an important and highly collectible piece of fashion history.
